About BAAP
What is BAAP?
BAAP stands for the Bahamas Association of Administrative Professionals. We are the national professional association dedicated to supporting, developing, and recognizing administrative and office professionals across The Bahamas.
When was BAAP established?
BAAP’s roots trace back to 1975, when the Bahamas chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) was formally established. This marked the beginning of a structured, professional association dedicated to supporting and advancing administrative professionals in The Bahamas.
In 2015, the organization evolved into the Bahamas Association of Administrative Professionals (BAAP), transitioning to a locally governed body while continuing the legacy, values, and commitment to excellence built over decades of service and leadership.
Who can join BAAP?
BAAP membership is open to administrative professionals, office managers, executive assistants, secretaries, students pursuing administrative careers, and anyone working in or aspiring to the profession.

Joining BAAP
How do I apply for membership?
You can apply by downloading and completing the BAAP Membership Application Form and submitting it along with payment. If you need assistance at any stage, BAAP is happy to help guide you through the process.
Do I need to be sponsored to join BAAP?
Yes. New applicants are typically sponsored by an existing BAAP member. If you do not currently know a member, simply contact us and we will assist you with the sponsorship process.
